THE BIG SHOW / ROCK BAND SHOW – Saturday, Feb 15th at Bucks Backyard (Buda, Tx)

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your stated stage time (and make sure your guests know this too) and plan on staying to support the other performances in your group.

 Please remember to arrive at least 30 minutes before your rockers stated stage time. This allows us to keep things moving along and stay on track.

1. The first group of the day (11am stage time) please arrive at approximately 10:45am. The venue doesn’t officially open until 11am & we will be busy right up until the first stage time. Thanks.

2. Please try to hang out and watch / support the other bands afterwards for a while.

3. WE DO NOT PROVIDE SHEET MUSIC FOR YOUR ROCKER ON THE DAY. IF THEY NEED IT, PLEASE BRING IT

Details.

Guitar / bass players: Please bring your guitars with you and make sure it has all it’s strings on it and your strap. When you arrive, keep it with you at your table until we announce to bring them to the right hand side of the stage for tuning.

Guest musicians: Piano, please bring your music. Vocal, please bring lyrics. Drummers, bring sticks. (**During rehearsal week, if your rockers lesson is at the same time as rehearsal, your instructor will be in the rehearsal with them. You do not receive a make-up. Please do not mark yourself absent in these instances).

Rock 601 Limo Ride – you will have already received a specific email telling you when to drop off at DSR.

*On Saturday from 8am – 8pm, we will unavailable to answer your calls, emails, texts and smoke signals. Sorry.

 

**Please remember the BIG show is FREE to you. It is a weather permitted event, in the case of inclement weather we move the event to our band room at DSR.

WHAT IF IT IS RAINING / FREEZING?

  • The determining factor if the show is outside or if we have to move inside to DSR,is at the discretion of the P.A. company.  The equipment costs thousands of dollars and if there is any chance of a major downpour between load-in time at 7:30am or load-out time at 9pm, they will not risk having it set up. It takes approximately 3 hours to set everything up and sound check. It is physically impossible to have some of the show outside and some at DSR in the same day. 
  • our weather plan is to move the show inside to Don’t Stop Rockin’. In this event, we will post the info on our FaceBook page early Saturday morning (by 8am) If we move inside, please be aware your rockers scheduled start time may move up by 60 minutes. This is due to the logistics of using a smaller space. Please be prepared to arrive earlier. We will post the new schedule time in the event we move inside.
