Stacie agnew

(they/she/he)

Stacie is an award-winning pianist who has called Austin home for over 10 years. While studying Piano Performance at the University of Texas, they began their career as a professional musician and instructor in Austin.

Stacie has always enjoyed musical theater and has worked as a music director for local theaters, including Paramount, Zilker Theater Productions, Austin Playhouse, and TexARTS Association.

Taking home the title of “Best Pianist/Keyboardist” for the Austin Music Awards in 2023, Stacie boasts a vast amount of experience in live music performance. Their most recent tour was in late 2024 with Tele Novella alongside La Luz, and their most recent project is with Redbud, an LP named “All Chorus” (coming mid-2025). Stacie has performed at ACL Live, Emo’s, Paramount Theater, and most other big-name venues in Austin, supporting musicians including The Front Bottoms, Glass Beams, Adrianne Lenker, and more. They are consistently grateful for the opportunities they have been given – and love passing on their knowledge and experience to young musicians as they figure out what playing music means to them.

Stacie has taught piano for 8 years in almost every corner of Austin. From 4-year-olds to well-known DJs and musicians, Stacie always creates a curriculum to match what each student is passionate about learning. While primarily studying Classical piano in college, Stacie currently entertains more Jazz, Gospel, and Americana genres. Their favorite genre of music is Yacht Rock, as it encompasses all of the greats (Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, Christopher Cross, etc.), but it is also simply a funny name for a genre.

Stacie is happy to be Don’t Stop Rockin’s newest addition and looks forward to meeting everyone!
