Morgan Van Rensselaer

Morgan Van Rensselaer is a guitarist, pianist, multi-instrumentalist and composer. Growing up in a suburb of Houston Texas, Morgan began learning guitar on his own and would join the high school jazz band as his first introduction into playing in a live setting. While attending classes at Lonestar Community College, Morgan studied classical guitar before transferring to UT Austin to finish a degree in jazz guitar performance.
During his time at UT he performed in numerous ensembles in and out of the academic community. Some of which include the UT Jazz Ensemble, many Jazz combos, and the North Indian Ensemble where he studied sitar and sarod.
Now as a graduate Morgan is dedicated to playing live music, recording and teaching.
