Ysaac Cohen

Ysaac Cohen is a Berklee College of Music graduate, seasoned guitarist, and dedicated educator with over 15 years of teaching experience. Specializing in improvisation and harmony, he brings a deep understanding of musical structure to every lesson—while keeping things fun, relaxed, and engaging. His stylistic focus includes jazz fusion, blues, rock, and their many modern derivatives.

With over 20 years of experience performing with rock and pop bands—as both a guitarist and bass player—Ysaac offers students real-world insight into live performance, band dynamics, and musical versatility. He’s known for giving students a remarkably solid foundation in technique, theory, and expression. In addition to guitar performance, Ysaac also teaches composition and guitar arrangements, helping students develop their creative voice and a deeper connection to their instrument.

Ysaac tailors his teaching to each student’s goals and interests, supporting musicians of all ages and levels. He’s excited to join the team at Don’t Stop Rockin’ and looks forward to sharing his passion and experience with the Austin music community.
