Megan Rüger is a powerhouse performer with a bold, rock-infused pop sound that blends the best of both worlds. Drawing comparisons to legendary female rock vocalists like Ann Wilson, Pat Benatar, and Joan Jett, as well as modern stars such as P!nk and Kelly Clarkson, Megan’s voice is a force to be reckoned with. Her career began to skyrocket when she appeared on Season 6 of NBC’s The Voice, which helped her gain significant national attention.
Megan’s teaching style focuses on discovering what makes each student passionate about music, she’s fostering a deeper connection and understanding of the subject. Tailoring lessons to meet individual goals and learning styles is a great way to keep students engaged and motivated, and it ensures they feel supported in their musical journey. Balancing fun with solid vocal technique shows that she understands how important it is for students to develop skills while still enjoying the process. With a background that spans from Broadway performances in Nashville to headlining in Las Vegas, Megan’s versatility as a singer and entertainer is unmatched. Her time in Vegas saw her become the featured female performer in the award-winning show Raiding The Rock Vault, which showcased her ability to blend hard rock with her own unique style.
After her time in Las Vegas, Megan recently made her way to Austin, TX, the “Live Music Capital of the World,” where she now resides. She’s not only working on new music with her fiancé and musical partner Joey Payow, but also shares her passion for music through teaching voice lessons and managing the “Don’t Stop Rockin'” studio.
