JOIN A ROCK BAND
WELCOME TO ROCK BAND:
PERFORMANCE BASED APPROACH TO MUSIC
AGES 8 – 18. All Levels Welcome!
ROCK BAND is Don’t Stop Rockin’s very own performance-based music program. All levels and ages are welcome! Students form groups based on age and ability. Each week, students receive one private lesson and one group band practice. Throughout the semester, your child will learn to play hit rock songs under the guidance of a music teacher.
Private lessons are a great way to focus on technique and music fundementals, while band practice is where it all comes together! At the end of the semester students will play in the Rock Show at a local live music venue! Rock Band students progress quickly and learn the value of teamwork as well as a lifelong apreciation for music.
Includes one 30 minute private lesson and one 60 minute band practice each week.
Fall semester runs September 9th – December 12th.
The cost for Rock Band is $25 / week (does not include weekly private lesson).

How it works:
Students are placed in a band based on age and ability. Every student to has the opportunity to join a rock band! For some students, the first semester is all about learning to play the instrument and learning to work in a group. More advanced students jump right into the action learning songs!
Rock Band is open to students ages 8 – 18. Our most advanced group is known as the Headliners and will have multiple opportunities throughout the semester to perform live in front of an audience!
1. tryout
Tryouts are held at the beginning of each semester. New to music? Don’t worry, we have groups for absolute beginners all the way through advanced.
2. Join a band
Students form bands based on age and ability. Each week, your child will work on famous songs both in private lessons and as a group.
3. Choose Repertoire
You’ll be amazed at how quickly your child learns music in a performance based setting. Towards the end of the semester, the band will choose their favorites for the big show.
4. ROCK SHOW!
After 12 weeks of hard work, the bands will show their stuff in our end of semester Rock Show! The event is held at a local live music venue and students get the feeling of playing a real show!
